Yet, nearly three months into the training, the Studio Manager, Jibrin Ibrahim, a digitally savvy young man is not optimistic that the current set of students accessing the studio will turn out trained and motivated multimedia producers, judging from their attitude to the training. He recounted that, "besides their weekly scheduled groupings for two hours studio tutoring, the students never sought to book time for personal practice." As a result, the Multimedia and Online Journalism course lecturer, Isah Yahaya noted, "they often appear completely lost of their last studio excersice since they would not practice their previous lessons till the next class." Meanwhile, in an address to the students before they take their first supervised test today, the course masters reminded them of the need to take their practicals seriously as it is going to count more of their total score in the course.
